buffer sync misseed!

13 years 10 months ago #5861 by Denins.Den
How many lines in dmesg about "buffer sync misseed!" do you have?

Not very much, just once every time I restart DAHDI.

It's normal, no problem.

Still this problem, may be it cause our server freeze up. After upgrade to ubuntu 10.04 (kernel 2.6.32) it always freeze from time to time. I'm sure there's some buffer overflow in kernel. Since kernel always trust itself, if there's something wrong with the driver, the kernel will happy to hangup itself. And after I migrate asterisk from that server, it kept running for more than 1 week now.

Hi

I have installed Elastix 1.6 on an MSI mobo with an AMD 2.6Ghz dual core 64bit 2Gb of RAM 1 Openvox A1200 with 5 Fxo and 7 Fxs modules plus an Openvox A800 with 7Fxs modules.

I also get a buffer re-sync error (from 0 to 1 e.g. but the number keeps changing every time i reboot the system or re-detect the hardware from elastix gui) when the system boots at the point that elastix loads the cards. Will this be a problem with the system? Is there a way to fix it?

I tried the same cards on a different machine with intel at 3Ghz and gigabyte mobo same problem.

I uninstalled the A1200 and the system boots with no errors. I installed the A1200 and uninstalled the A800 again the system boots without any errors.

This system is to be installed by the end of the week on a small enterprise and i need to make sure that it works without any issues.

Thank you for reading this

Hi,
When you run dmesg, how many times do you get buffer sync missed? If only several times, it's normal.
